ESP Junior Meeting

Online, May 16, 2024

A strong bond developed among a group of students during the immersive experience at the ESP School of Photobiology, prompting them to maintain their connections beyond the conclusion of the school. Excitement grew as the 20th Congress of the European Society for Photobiology approached, providing an opportunity for these young students to reunite in Lyon.
The reunion served as a platform for them to exchange updates on their respective journeys and reconnect within the closely-knit community.
Recognizing the value of such connections, Carla Arnau del Valle and Martina Mušković identified a need for more events serving the younger generation within the ESP family.
Inspired, they conceived the idea of an online event dedicated to young photobiologists, offering networking opportunities and the chance to learn from established investigators.
Presenting their vision to the ESP executive committee, they found immediate support, leading to the creation of an initiative that would foster the growth of the next generation of photobiologists within the ESP community:

The ESP Junior Meeting.

Join us online on the International Day of Light (May 16, 2024) to grow, learn, and have fun within the ESP community!

PDT-PDD Update 2022

October 24 to 28, 2022 - Nancy (France)

Dear Attendees, dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our pleasure to welcome you to Nancy at the fourth PDT symposium devoted to all aspects of Clinical Photodynamic therapy.
The programme committee, the local organizers and Progepi have worked diligently to put together an outstanding programme.
Clinical PDD-PDT will be discussed in term of photodynamic diagnosis or therapy, instrumentation, photosensitizers, light dosimetry and monitoring, mathematical modelling, cellular mechanisms, etc.
The guiding idea of the symposium is to keep alive the spirit of the famous conferences in Brixen. The first conference was a great success in Nancy in 2016 as well as the second one in Kochel am See in 2018. In 2020, due to the Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Organizing Committee of PDT-PDD 2020 (Nancy (SFPMed & Progepi) and Munich teams) decided to propose only an electronic conference. It was a real success with more than 450 participants.
This fourth PDD-PDT symposium will involve interesting discussions between young and senior researchers, poster presentations, spoken presentations and talks from guests from the sphere of academic research mainly focused on clinical PDT applications. People from industry will have the opportunity to present their innovations and also to take stock and share future perspectives.
Our hope is for you to have a wonderful, valuable time at the symposium and to leave the meeting energized and armed with new knowledge in Photodiagnostic and Photodynamic therapy.
Céline Frochot et Serge Mordon, SFPMed
