The ESP Congress is a biennial event, usually attended by more than 500 registered participants.

In general, participants are interested in:

instrumentation such as

  • UV and visible light sources, lasers
  • monochromators, filters
  • fibre optics, radiometers
  • microscopes
  • imaging systems
  • sunglasses and radiation safety tools

cosmetics and drugs such as:

  • photoprotective medicines
  • antiaging and antioxidant products
  • sunscreens

as well as scientific literature, general laboratory and medical equipment, software.

Congress location and exhibition area

Location:

Aix-les-Bains is an international spa resort located in the hearth of the French Alps in the vicinity of Chambéry (about 160, 000 inhabitants in the Aix-les-Bains-Chambéry area).

St-Exupéry-Lyon and Geneva international airports are 100 and 70 km respectively from Aix-les-Bains.

There are also several direct fast train connections (TGV) with Paris every day.

There is an excellent motorway network with Italy , Switzerland and north, west and south of France.

Exhibition area:

The exhibition hall is in the congress area of the Casino Grand Cercle, that is located at walking distance from the main hotels (3,000 rooms) and major points of interest in the city.

The fee for holding an exhibition stand will be 400 euros per day

Exhibitions should be set up on Sunday morning, 4 September and be removed at noon on Thursday 8 September (at the latest).

Sponsorship and contribution opportunities

  • Sponsor of the gala dinner at the Casino Grand Cercle (estimated attendance: 300-400 persons).
  • Sponsor of the welcome reception held in the Casino Grand Cercle (estimated attendance: 500 persons).
  • Sponsor of a plenary lecture or a symposium (estimated attendance at plenary lectures: 3-400; attendance at symposia will vary)
  • Sponsor of an invited symposium speaker
  • Sponsor of one or more fellowships for students and young researchers
  • Advertisement:
    • Conference bag with congress and company logo
    • Advertisement in the final programme and abstract book
    • Logo on badge
    • Promotional leaflets or folders for inclusion in the congress bag
